I really don't know why....we HAVE VHS(JVC STARTED THIS)
they are OK but the Quality of Beta! is much better! than VHS
I Hope ...one day Beta! will be back!
TV Stations use Beta no VHS...Most of them!
Well, there are plenty of reasons we do have VHS instead of Beta as a
main format, some of which are noted in Hamid's
submission. The success of VHS emphasizes the fact that a superior
technology needs decent marketing and licensing too.
I'm afraid we won't be seeing a Beta comeback. Betacam SP (a far cry from
home Beta but a spiritual successor at least) will have to carry the flame
in the coming years. But keeping enjoying your Beta. -Ed.
